Brian Kruse recently returned to the funeral business after more than 10 years in public service – under three administrations – where he served as Douglas County Election Commissioner from 2016 to 2026. Prior to that, he served in the Nebraska State Treasurer’s Office.

Brian graduated from Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb., and the Kansas City Kansas Community College. Throughout his career, he has volunteered for numerous political campaigns and charitable causes. He serves as a board member of the City of Omaha Administrative Board of Appeals and the Combined Health Agencies Drive (CHAD). He is also the former clerk-treasurer of Sanitary Improvement District 415. An active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Brian also serves on the Archbishop’s Committee for Development (ACD), along with many other community activities.

Family is an important part of Brian’s life. He enjoys spending time with his parents, sister, nieces, nephews and many cousins. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, especially to historic and presidential sites, as well as exploring the world.
