Perdis Cotton better known as Perk was born a twin on July 10, 1944 to Mr. & Mrs. Buddy Cotton in Gholson, MS. He transitioned into his new life May 1st 2020 at home in Omaha NE. Perdis is preceded in death by his parents Buddy & Minnie Lee Cotton his sisters; Ina Ruth Clear, Opal Chamberlain, Hazel Walker, Lugusta Mountain (Gusta) and his brothers Buddy & Merdis Cotton, and his stepson Stanley Conrad Crawford. Perdis was raised in a devoted Christian home along with 12 siblings. Perdis accepted Christ into his life at a premature age.
Perdis moved to Omaha NE, in his early twenties where his skillset in roofing was discovered. He would ultimately retire from Omaha Public Schools.
He leaves to cherish his memory, much-loved Betty Crawford of Omaha, NE; his sons Perdis Cotton ( Latisha) of Omaha, NE and Steven Jerome Davis (Towanna) of Fort Wayne, IN; stepdaughters, Treszie Crawford Wafford of Omaha, NE, and Alesia Crawford Jackson of Dallas, Texas; stepsons, Leo R. Crawford of Columbus, GA, and Douglas Crawford of Omaha, NE. Grandchildren; Samone, Loren Cotton of Omaha, NE and Alicia Cotton of Minneapolis, MN; Steven Jerome Davis, Cenedra Baker, Nico Baker, Lataja Bright, Stefona Davis and Stephon Baker of Ft. Wayne IN. Brother, Billy Joe ( Alberta) Cotton of Omaha, NE; sisters, Mae Lee Hudson of Gholson, MS, Minnie Pearl Sherrod, Helen (Searcy) Smith, Della Cotton- Branch, Adell Cotton, Bertha Cotton, Doris (Earnest) Langford, of Omaha Ne, and a host of step grandchildren of Omaha, NE. Special friends Lisa Walker and Lisa Jefferson-Sanders as well as his niece that he treasured and adored Kathy Sherrod of Houston, TX.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday, May 4, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
