RULES and REGULATIONS PERTAINING

TO GRAVE DECORATIONS

FRESH CUT FLOWERS

Permitted at all times during growing season. Flower holders or vases are to be the type that, when not in use, can be inverted flush with the ground. These are available for purchase in the Cemetery Office. Unfilled vases will not be allowed to remain up after June 15. They will be removed or turned down into the ground receptacle.

POTTED PLANTS

Permitted ONLY on Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Memorial Day. They will remain on the graves until the next mowing cycle. Plants will not be held in storage, nor will the cemetery be held responsible. We, therefore, ask the families to pick them up, if they want to keep them.

PLANTING ON LOTS/GRAVES

Planting is permitted in some of the old sections of the cemetery with permission of the General Manager. Planting is prohibited in the garden sections to prevent injury to adjoining lots and to preserve the beauty of the grounds. The Association will not be responsible for plants damaged by windstorm, frost, hail, thieves, vandals, or other causes not due to its own account.

ARTIFICIAL DECORATIONS

Artificial wreaths, flowers, sprays, and blankets may be placed on the graves after November 1 and left there until March 15. If such pieces are not removed by families by March 1, they will be discarded by the cemetery in connection with Spring Clean-up. Any artificial decorations on the graves between March 15 and November 1 will be promptly removed.

FLOWER VASES

Management strongly recommends that all vases be turned down into the receptacle provided, no later than December 15. Vases left upright are subject to damage by or to park equipment when covered by snow, or by water freezing and causing the vase to crack. The cemetery is not responsible for these damages.

FLAGS

Flags are permitted on the graves on Memorial Day only and must be removed immediately thereafter.

FUNERAL FLOWERS AT GRAVE

These flowers usually will remain on the grave for three days, depending on the condition of the flowers due to the elements.

OTHER ITEMS OF INTEREST

No fence, coping or enclosure of any kind will be permitted on burial lots. The placing of shepherd’s staff or hooks, chairs, stone benches, glass jars, iron or wooden crosses, trellises, toys, metal designs and similar articles upon graves or lot is inconsistent with the proper keeping of the grounds and will not be permitted and will be removed.

COOPERATION

We ask the cooperation of every family to help enhance the perpetuity and beauty of the cemetery.  Thank you for caring.
