Obituary
Bernard "Bernie" Carl Waschinek, age 88, son of Carl and Emilie (Slama) Waschinek, was born on September 3, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska. He passed away on January 6, 2021 in Valley, Nebraska.
Bernie is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Patricia "Pat" Waschinek; and sister, Evelyn. He is survived and will be missed by his children: Linda Waschinek, Terry (Jamie) Waschinek, Richard (Dione) Waschinek; grandchildren: Pierce (Sandra), JoJo, Victoria; great grandson, Cain; sister, Ruth Romberg; three nieces; and many other family and friends.
Bernie could be described as a simple, down to earth man. He was an avid Huskers and NASCAR fan. In his spare time, you could find Bernie fishing or working on cars. He loved his family and adored his late wife, Pat.
